What are the terms and conditions of sale?
• Wes Transfers require full payment at time of purchase for all
registrations. Registration marks are supplied specifically to the buyers’
requirements and are regarded as a "personalised item" which cannot be
cancelled, exchanged or refunded following the sale. The service that we provide
in selling these registrations is actioned immediately and so, on completion of
the online sales process, the buyer is agreeing to give us their informed
consent to waive their 7-day cooling off period associated with the distance
selling regulations amendment of the Sale of Goods Act.
• Delivery of all documentation and registration certificates will be made to you via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For delivery. This is normally within 14 days.
• Wes Transfers’ liability is strictly limited to a full refund only and no
claims for damages, interest on monies paid or any other expenses will be
entertained. In the event of a transfer failing you have our full money back
guarantee provided you are not responsible for our inability to transfer.
• It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure information in inputted
correctly into online order forms and is correct at time of purchase.
• All prices quoted are subject to a DVLA transfer fee and VAT where applicable.
• We will require your V5 registration document and MoT (if applicable). If you
are not the registered keeper of the vehicle you will need to complete the
reverse side of the V5 with the name and address that you want the vehicle
registered in and sign the Declaration. DVLA Swansea will register you as the
keeper at the same time the transfer is completed.
• The current tax disc will need to be exchanged for all vehicles that are
already registered and this will be requested by your Local Vehicle Licensing
Office when the transfer is completed by them.
• The transfer is carried out in accordance with the DVLA rules and issue of a
new V5 bearing the new registration number shall be conclusive proof of a
successful transfer.
• Actual number plates are your responsibility, and you should not put your
number plates on the car until the transfer is completed and you have your new
tax-disc in your possession.
• The Department of Transport Fee for each Registration Number is £80. The
Retention Fee is £105.
• This agreement falls under the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and
Wales.
What documents do I need to purchase a personal number plate?
You will need to provide your V5, MOT (if applicable) and a copy of your tax
disc.
What happens to my current number plate?
You can either dispose of it as it is no longer applicable to your vehicle or
you can pay the Department of Transport a fee to retain it.
